Church leaders fear they will not be able to carry out essential repairs in the next few years as their funding has been diverted to the Olympics in 2012. Handouts from the Heritage Lottery Fund, which averaged £30million a year for all churches over the past decade, will be cut to £20million this year and £18million after that up to 2013. The deficit will amount to nearly £60million, reports The Sunday Telegraph
