CHANNEL 4 is to launch a television version of Thought for the Day - but, unlike Radio 4’s long-running morning slot, it will be open to atheists and agnostics as well as representatives of the major religions. The slot, called 4Thought, will run every night after Channel 4 News. Each film will be no more than two minutes long and will present a single speaker’s view of a religious or ethical issue, reports Neil Midgley in The Daily Telegraph
