Welcome to HSS Members Area.
As a member of HSS you can take part in HSS meetings, in elections and in discussions. HSS is a democratic body and you can learn more about HSS today and about the Board of Trustees and the Management Group.
On this website you have your account where your details and your preferences are organised. For example you can choose whether to receive the newsletter; you can renew your membership; you can gain access to HSS documents; you can join some of HSS forums. You can even shop online (we hope to improve our range of products over the next year). This account is a new feature of the HSS website; a feature which will grow and develop as we do as a Society.
One example – In due course, trainee celebrants will be able to book courses and access training materials online.
Members are encouraged to take part in a wide range of HSS activities often through Local Groups, through our campaigns and through Policy Forums.
Members are also encouraged to access HSS documents. Members will have access to a wide range of documents including all minutes of General Meetings and those of the Board of Trustees.
- All site users, including members, can gain access to Education resources and Policy papers when the site is launched in January 2012
- Members can gain access to minutes of General Meetings and those of the Board of Trustees in January 2012; in succeeding weeks you will have access to a wider range of HSS internal policy documents
- If you are a celebrant you will have access to a wide range of resources including codes of conduct, standards and sample scripts; this access will be improved in the weeks after launch.
Members are also encouraged to access HSS Forums where appropriate.
The first Forums to be established will be for the:
- Board of Trustees;
- The Management Group;
- and the Celebrants Group
These Forums are intended to replace the existing Yahoo Groups, and will be phased in, hopefully before March 31, 2012. Additional Forums (particularly Policy forums) will be established as they are required.
