The Humanist Society of Scotland offers two awards in education and sponsorship to annual conference.
- The Bob Mckay Award for a school in Scotland which has made the best efforts to replace indoctrination with education. This award is made annually in memory of our late great convenor Bob Mckay. The trophy will be presented at Annual Conference in October 2012. For more information about the award, click here.
- The annual essay prize for students is awarded for in three age categories for the student submitting the best essay on thoughts, ideas, reports on the subject of humanism/free thinking. Winners will be presented with a cheque for £50 and handsome certificate at the National conference in October. For more information about the competition, click here.
- One student from each local area will be sponsored to attend annual conference in October. (Travel expenses included). To apply, contact us.
